Performance
The Cadillac is offered in the following trims: Premium Luxury and Sport. Both models are powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that sends 310 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque to a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive (AWD) is optional on the Premium Luxury and standard on the Sport. The engine is very responsive and has plenty of power to merge in and out of traffic. Front-wheel-drive (FWD) trims have an EPA rating of 18 mpg city/25 highway and AWD models get 17 city/24 highway. The XT6 provides lively handling and includes a responsive suspension system. It has a maximum tow rating of 4,000 pounds. The available Smart Tow Trailering System includes Hitch Guidance with Hitch View for easier and safer towing.
Interior
The XT6 can seat up to seven passengers. The spacious cabin provides plenty of head-and legroom. It is also a breeze to enter/exit the third row. The Premium Luxury comes with Bright Galvano exterior accents, unique front and rear fascias, a programmable height power liftgate, an Ultraview sunroof and exclusive 20-inch six-spoke alloy wheels. The Sport upgrades to body-colored exterior door handles, gloss black exterior accents, tinted neutral density taillamp lenses, and 20-inch 12-spoke Pearl Nickel finish alloy wheels. The Premium Luxury comes well-equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a secondary dial controller, a wireless charging pad, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, six USB ports, an eight-speaker Bose audio system, cruise control, power accessories, a dual diagonal driver information center, remote start, and satellite radio. The available Infotainment package includes GPS navigation and a 14-speaker Bose performance series sound system.
Safety
The XT6 was designed with safety in mind and comes standard with automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear park assist, front pedestrian braking, an HD rearview camera, IntelliBeam headlights, lane-keeping assist, lane departure alert, rain-sensing wipers, rear-cross traffic alert, a safety alert seat, lane change alert, and blind-spot warning. The available Driver Assist package includes adaptive cruise control, reverse automatic braking, advanced automatic seatbelt tightening, and enhanced automatic emergency braking. Question: What's New with the 2021 Cadillac XT6?
Answer: Although it was just introduced in 2020, Cadillac has already improved the XT6 for 2021. The biggest change is the new turbocharged 237-horsepower four-cylinder base engine. This is the same motor available in the Cadillac XT5. Marietta, GA drivers will appreciate that XT6 Premium Luxury and Sport models still use the potent, 310-horsepower V6 engine.
The 2021 Cadillac XT6 rides soft and smooth on its front struts and five-link rear suspension. People in Atlanta will like the Sport trim's adaptive dampers and faster steering ratio for a more engaging ride. Revisions made to the 2021 Cadillac XT6 include:
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are now standard across all XT6 trims.
- Standard wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Wireless smartphone charging pads come standard.
- There are now three trim levels instead of two. The base Cadillac XT6 model is now called "Luxury" and the two higher trims are Premium Luxury and Sport.
- Sport models have a new 20-inch wheel design.
- Three new exterior colors are now available for the Cadillac XT6, including Dark Moon Blue Metallic, Wilder, and Infrared Tintcoat.

Answer: Cadillac doesn't currently offer a hybrid or all-electric version of the XT6. We expect them to do so in the future, since "green" vehicles are becoming more and more popular.
